He came to visit Las Vegas with his wife and their little one. I gave him the nickel tour. I was not surprised to see him wearing a SOX cap, but his speaking to the baby in latin was priceless. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Sipes family, and only wish we had more time to spend together.

I left sipes on his way to Millenium park after our lunch at the Elephant and Castle. He told us how his wife granted him a day with his “list friends”. I had chuckled so hard.

But the best was he got some “freedom” from playing Mr. Mom for a while. That is something I could totally relate to and I am sure it felt awesome to be out the same way it felt for me to be away for a couple of days.

It was nice to meet sipes oh and to see him in an awake position.

I’ve cheered this guy off and on here for a while and even commented on a few of his entries, but it wasn’t until I met him in Chicago that I realized how sympatico we are. We’ve both got a lot of similar qualities about us, and I was glad that I got to hang out with him during lunch and then walking around Millennium Park.

I wish we lived closer because I could easily see myself rescuing him from his little one so he could have some adult conversation now and then.

So I like Sipes23 because our brief meeting made me want to get to know him better.

He was awake!!! I swear it! He really was awake!!!

Pleasure meeting you in Chicago, wish I didn’t have to eat and run. Oh well… next time!!!

I’ve been working with Rose on the phone for about a year now. I think it’s about time I actually met her.

She’s funny when she writes and has a soft Texas accent that you can hear in her writing—even if it’s about ancient Rome.

Sipes has a ninja-like ability to weave in and out of slow walking people on a city sidewalk. Tourists and old folk are no match for his swift step.

He’s an interesting guy.

For instance, we both have a work history that while different has lots of interesting parallels, which makes for interesting talk.

This guy is so cool that we should’ve met up months ago, but the universe conspired against us. But that’s ok, now I’ll have a friend in NYC to visit when I get there.

We have followed each other around on 43P for quite some time. We’ve talked of hanging out but didn’t make it happen until today.

He suggested we check out some mob history, of which I am a big fan of.

There are no historical markers where we went. This man went to a library, filled his brain up with knowledge and then gave me a personal tour based on his readings. It was amazing.

If you get the chance, get some face time with this one because folks like this don’t come around too often.

I met Harry Browne at a campaign event in Portland, Maine in 2000. He signed the book Fail-Safe Investing for me. He was taller than I had expected. Much taller.

I took his advice from the book and have implemented it in my portfolio as best I can. Not only did I have the privilege of voting for him twice and meeting him once, but he’s helped me with my nest egg too. Truly a giant of a man.
